===== Directions to CREC =====

From I-91 Northbound or Southbound: Take Capitol Area Exit 29A and stay to the right. Take the first exit (Columbus Boulevard) off the Capitol Area exit (if you go under the Hartford Public library overpass, you've gone too far). Turn left at the end of the ramp onto Columbus Boulevard. Go to the second set of lights which is Charter Oak Ave. (Columbus Boulevard becomes Wyllys Street.) CREC is on the left corner.

 

From I-84 Eastbound: Take I-91 South New Haven (Exit 52) from Hartford and proceed with directions above.

 

From 1-84 Westbound: Take Exit 54 (Downtown Hartford/Route 2 West). Go over Founders Bridge. At the light at the end of the bridge, turn left onto Columbus Boulevard. Continue on Columbus Boulevard through five sets of lights to the intersection of Charter Oak Avenue. (At this point, Columbus Boulevard becomes Wyllys Street.) Proceed with directions for parking written below.

 

Where to Park:

PARKING IS OFF WYLLYS STREET. For parking, do not turn left onto Charter Oak Avenue. Rather, proceed straight through the intersection onto Wyllys Street (beyond the CREC building) and take the first left into the parking lot entrance between the Church of the Good Shepherd and its Rectory. A well-marked path will lead you to the CREC building. The small parking lot off Charter Oak Avenue is for short-term visitors only.
