Description Workshop Attendees will learn to identify indicator species and will utilize the knowledge of their presence to measure the health of various habitats. Participants will categorize species into flora and fauna, and assemble them into their key habitats. Participants will leave the workshop understanding the importance of indicator species, realize their value in measuring the health of the environment, and correlate their existence with human beings on planet earth.
 
Objectives As a result of taking part in this workshop, participants will:
  • Identify indicator species
  • Connect indicator species to specific environments
  • Describe the factors that interrelate particular species with specific environments
