Description How pure is pure? Mixtures are all around us, we come into contact with them every day, but how do we really know what is pure and what is not? Explore the concepts of density, molecular properties, electrolysis and physical separation as we investigate various substances. Understand the concepts to excite your middle school students to explore these scientific principals.
 
Objectives As a result of taking part in this workshop, participants will:
  		• Receive safe, simple and low cost lessons that can be utilized in every classroom.
  		•  Engage in hands-on investigations to understand the scientific principles.
  		•  Develop an understanding of CT Science Standard 6.1.
