Description The ecosystem of a river is in dynamic equilibrium. Understanding this dynamic equilibrium requires knowledge of a river's physical, chemical and biological components and processes. Aligned to CT Science Standard 6.2.
 
Objectives As a result of taking part in this workshop, participants will:
  • Learning about the physical, chemical and biological components of local rivers.
  • Engage in hands-on investigations to understand these components as they contribute to the dynamic equilibrium of rivers.
  • Receive lesson plans, hand-outs and resources for use in the classroom.
