Description Developing equitable science curricula has been a challenge for educators. Creating awareness of issues involving equity is the first step toward addressing all students learning needs. Participants will reflect upon their teaching with regard to equity issues involving gender, disability, ethnicity, and cultural group, and learn how to identify strategies and develop activities that insure equity for all in science.
 
Objectives As a result of taking part in this workshop, participants will:
  		• Develop an understanding and define what is meant by equity.
  		•  Evaluate science activities to identify strategies that provide all children with the opportunity to learn science.
  		•  Learn how to plan and implement activities that insure equity for all in science.
