Description In this workshop, shadows will be examined from all angles. New activities will be demonstrated which will help younger students create a definition for "shadow" and predict how shadows change. As a result, students will be able to draw conclusions about how the sun's movement across the sky affects the shape of a shadow.
 
Objectives As a result of taking part in this workshop, participants will:
  		• Develop an in-depth understand of CT Science Standard 1.1.
  		•  Practice a variety of inquiry-based investigations which will enhance younger students understanding of shadows and the sun's movement across the sky.
  		•  Receive lessons which can be implemented in the classroom using low-cost and easily obtained materials.
