Description Whether we live inland or along the coast, Long Island Sound provides economic, recreational and aesthetic value to residents of Connecticut. It is also a wonderful educational resource for topics ranging from food chains to ecosystems to the impact of human behavior on the environment. Learn how to explore Long Island Sound from your classroom!
 
Objectives As a result of taking part in this workshop, participants will:
  • Become familiar with estuaries in general, and Long Island Sound estuary in particular.
  • Use a model to understand point and non-point source pollution using an Enviroscapeā„¢.
  • Receive a variety of Long Island Sound resources which can be immediately implemented into the classroom.
