Description Understanding energy usage and transformation is a critical requirement in our modern world. Whether it's the conversion of chemical energy into mechanical energy or potential energy into kinetic energy, the examplifications of these concepts are all around us. Experiments like making a motor, preparing different types of batteries and making a miniature steam engine will increase your students' understanding of these fundamentals.
 
Objectives As a result of taking part in this workshop, participants will:
  • Practice lessons that reinforce these scientific concepts.
  • Conduct safe, simple and low cost investigations that can be utilized in every classroom.
  • Become familiar with CT Science Standard 7.1.b.
