Description Learn how to use your current curriculum in a different way by incorporating a conceptual model that helps students master PE concepts and cuts down the amount of time you need to spend on each topic. These strategies will make student learning more beneficial and allow you to cover your curriculum in a succinct, meaningful and progressive manner. We will give you concrete examples of conceptual teaching that you will be able to use immediately. The conceptual approach improves learners’ ability to understand and integrate experiences, recognize patterns and relationships, and make connections to generalize main ideas to numerous hypothetical and authentic applications.
 
Objectives As a result of taking part in this workshop, participants will:
  		• understand benefits and rationale for the conceptual approach to teaching and learning.
  		• be able to articulate appropriate instructional strategies consistent with this approach.
